Claudio Ranieri is confident Roma will be able to climb out of the hole they
have dug themselves.
Roma coach Claudio Ranieri is confident of recasting the mindset to get his
team back on course after veering off on a negative tangent.
Ranieri has diagnosed his side's negativity as a mental problem he hopes will
last for the short term as he prepares his players for Brescia tomorrow night.
It's worrying news for Roma, who are not only in combat with the rest of
Serie A, but with their own problems internally.
Enjoying a successful season is a promise that has been made countless times
by Ranieri, who knows his side can either boom or bust.
"I have no messages to launch towards the fans. Everyone can see what we are
doing," Ranieri told the press.
"It's not nice and we don't like the way we have started. We wanted to do
well, but we have been unable to.
"For me Roma is there and we are compact, but it's a difficult period with
injuries, and nothing seems to be going right for us.
"It's hard to see this, but we want to fight.
"It's not a physical problem, but a mental one. We are demotivated from a
poor start.
"However, we will come out of this situation, I am convinced."
Brescia will not be there to offer gifts, and Ranieri knows it.
"No one gives anything away, not in Serie A and neither in Europe," he added.
"Brescia will be a tough game for us, and we will have to run plenty."
