'Adriano is going nowhere'
Adriano's agent has denied comments that his client reportedly made this
morning, claiming that he will leave Roma and re-join Flamengo in June.
The 28-year-old striker has yet to return from Brazil for the start of the
second half of the season, partly on compassionate grounds because his uncle
suffered a heart attack.
Earlier today, he was quoted as saying that a move back to Flamengo was so
certain that the journalists could come and pick him up at the airport in the
summer.
However, Adriano's agent Gilmar Rinaldi has attempted to get his client out
of a sticky situation with Roma who offered him a second chance in Italy.
“People have been calling me from Italy since five in the morning,” he said.
“Adriano didn't mean to say these things. He has promised Rosella Sensi that
he will get back to being the Emperor at Roma.”
Another agent, Roberto Calenda, who helped broker Adriano's move to Roma in
the summer, said: “I categorically deny the story of a return to Flamengo in
June.
“The site that published this interview is the same that we already
quarreled with in the summer for the diffusion of reports that were totally
invented.”
