Vincenzo Montella is new Roma coach until the end of term, the club said in a statement on Monday. A statement on the club's official website reads: "A.S Roma S.p.A renders note to have, today, given first team duties to Mr Vincenzo Montella until the end of the current season. "We are certain he will be able to put the team's quality together with his professionalism, dedication, enthusiasm and experience." Former coach Claudio Ranieri resigned on Sunday evening, and he was seen leaving Trigoria just before Montella arrived this morning. The former striker, 36, will be unveiled on Tuesday. Details over his wages remain undisclosed, but earlier reports suggested he would receive bonuses if Roma finish in the top-four. Roma also confirmed Ranieri's resignation officially in an earlier statement. "Roma communicate to have received a request to resign as first team coach from Claudio Ranieri. "In light of this, his contract, due to expire on June 30, 2011 has been resolved following a consensual agreement.
