[S.S.] SAM提前決定 參加明年的CHARLESTON賽事
Defending champion Sam Stosur has confirmed that she will return to
Charleston to defend her title.
The world No.8, who is currently defending her HP Open title in Osaka, said
she’s excited about the 2011 Family Circle Cup.
“I’ve always enjoyed competing in Charleston, and I really look forward to
defending my title at this historic event. The city is beautiful and the
fans are very knowledgeable, so it’s always exciting to play this tournament,
” said Stosur.
查爾斯頓今年的冠軍－Sam Stosur，已經確定明年會回到此地尋求衛冕。
這位排名世界第八的選手，現正在大阪的HP Open，保衛去年的冠軍頭銜，她本人表示，
能參與明年的家庭圈盃賽事，十分令人雀躍。
＂我非常享受在查爾斯頓的比賽，我期待在這具有歷史意義的賽事中，衛冕成功。這是
座美麗的城市，這裡的人們深具知性，能在這裡比賽很讓人興奮。＂
Stosur is the first player to be confirmed for the 2–10 April event that has
been held at Daniel Island in Charleston, South Carolina, since 2001 after 28
years in Hilton Head.
“We are thrilled to welcome Sam Stosur back to Charleston to defend her
championship in April,” said Eleanor Adams, Tournament Manager, Family
Circle Cup.
“Since winning the Family Circle Cup, she has continued to post the best
results of her singles career, and we’re so happy to have her return where
that success began. I know our fans will enjoy watching her take another
shot at this title.”
The Charleston title was Stosur’s second WTA singles title overall and only
title for 2010. The Queenslander has also featured in the Stuttgart and
Roland Garros finals this year.
“Winning the Family Circle Cup has certainly been an important highlight of
my career,” added Stosur.
Stosur是第一個敲定明年4/2~10在此地比賽的球員，家庭圈盃在2001年以前，是固定
在希爾頓黑德艾蘭(Hilton Head)舉行，經過28年悠久的歷史後，大膽地移至查爾斯頓
(Charleston)。

查爾斯頓是Sam個人生涯第二座WTA單打冠軍，也是2010年唯一一座冠軍(哭哭)。
這位澳洲選手今年在德國斯圖加特和法網都闖進決賽。
Stosur補充說，＂能在家庭圈盃奪冠，無疑地，是我生涯中光輝的一役。＂
