JELENA Dokic will contest the Australian Open wildcard playoff next month.
Dokic, 28, will enter the December showdown at Melbourne Park, according to
her manager, Olivier Van Lindonk, of International Management Group.
The former world No.4 has slipped from 57th to 135th in a difficult season,
capped by a serving meltdown during qualifying matches at Wimbledon.
Fellow Australians chasing main draw places include Alicia Molik, who is on
the cusp of direct acceptance at 110, Sophie Ferguson (120), Sally Peers
(156), Olivia Rogowska (211) and Casey Dellacqua (226).
許久沒在巡迴賽上出現的Dokic，將在下個月為爭取澳網外卡與同胞競爭。
根據他的經紀人Olivier Van Lindonk的消息，她也會出席在墨爾本公園舉行的公布結果。
這位前世界第4，目前排名已從第57位滑落到135位，今年還提早在溫網資格賽出局。
