今天看到澳洲昆士蘭慘遭洪水蹂躪的新聞 http://0rz.tw/bCjvO 我的第一個反應就是Sam應該會做些什麼不只因為她是昆士蘭人還因為她小時候就是洪水受災戶果然Sam馬上就有行動:) 不過看完這篇報導才知道她阿公阿媽多年前也是洪水受災戶.... Sam's ace for charity 2 Jan 2011 Sam用ace球做公益 Australia’s best tennis player Sam Stosur is donating $100 from every ace she serves at the Brisbane International to the Queensland flood victims. 澳洲網球好手Sam Stosur宣布她在布里斯本賽每發出一記Ace球就會捐贈100澳幣給昆士蘭的水災災民。 Her pledge has already been supported by former world No.1 Andy Roddick who will also give $100 for every ace he serves. 前世界排名第一的A-Rod也支持她的行動他也同樣每發出一記Ace球就捐贈100澳幣 Stosur knows from personal experience the damage floods can cause.“The way the people of Queensland have been affected by the floods is really close to my heart,” Stosur said. 因為自身的經驗 Stosur非常清楚洪水會帶來什麼災害 "我對昆士蘭災民的經歷感同身受" Stosur表示 “I only remember a few details of what happen to my family in 1987 but it turned our way of life upside down and was devastating to my family. "雖然我的家庭在1987年遭受水災的事我只記得一點點不過它讓我們的生活變得一團混亂而且對我們家帶來非常大的傷害" “We lost everything, photos, furniture, all our possessions apart from what we were wearing. It could have been a lot worse as my younger brother’s cot was completely submerged in water but he was in my parent’s bed that night. "除了身上穿的衣服我們失去了所有東西相片家具所有的財物最可怕的是我弟弟的嬰兒床完全泡在水裡還好那天晚上他是睡在我父母的床上" “I also remember Daniel diving for my mum’s wedding ring which she lost in the water – he found it. "此外我還記得我哥哥Daniel潛水下去找我媽媽掉在水裡的結婚戒指最後他找到了" “I guess this is why I felt it is important for me to try and give something back.
