Aussie tennis star Sam Stosur has been travelling with her sport for all of her life. At 13, she took her first overseas trip from her home town in Adelaide to Jakarta in Indonesia, to play in the World Youth Cup. Since then, this star of the court has travelled the world to face and best the top players from around the globe, playing in her first professional tournament in 1999. What tech do you travel with and why? My MacBook laptop always travels with me as I have my whole life in there; flights, accommodation, schedules, music, movies and photos from home. And my smartphone, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play lets me keep in touch with friends, play games and take photos on the go. When travelling in non-English-speaking countries watching episodes of Modern Family gets me through. Q. 你有什麼旅行必備的科技產品? 它們有何用途? A. 我總是帶著蘋果筆記型電腦旅行，硬碟內有我生活所需的東西和資料，包括飛機航班、住宿安排、賽程、音樂、電影，還有一些在家裡照的照片。以及一隻Sony Ericsson Xperia Play 的智慧型手機，它可以讓我和朋友保持聯絡，在旅途中，也可以玩遊戲或照相。當我待在非英語系國家時，我總是靠看"Modern Family"這影集打發時間。 What tech do you miss from home? I travel with all my tech devices and it's nice to get home and have a break from all of them. At home I'm very basic; I really just need my TV and rarely use that. Q. 在家裡不用什麼科技產品? A. 我帶著所有的科技產品旅行，但回到家很高興能休息，不用接觸它們。在家生活很簡單，我真的只需要台電視，不過我也很少看。 What's your favourite phone app for travelling and why? Angry Birds is always good to pass time and the WTA/ATP app to keep track of scores. Q. 旅行時最愛的手機程式? 原因是? A. "憤怒鳥"總是打發時間的好物，還有WTA/ATP的應用程式，能讓我知道比賽即時比分。 Most memorable travel story/experience Going to the wrong Fukuoka in Japan. What should have been a four-hour train ride turned into a whole day travelling as we ended up on a totally different island to where we needed to be. We couldn't work out why this year Fukuoka seemed to be out in the country. Luckily, a guy from New Zealand got off at the same stop and was meeting his Japanese friend so they kindly bought us the correct tickets and told us how to get to the correct Fukuoka. Q. 最值得追憶的旅行故事或經驗? A. 要到日本福岡時走錯路，原本只要搭四小時的火車，結果花了一整天的時間，還在不對的島上著陸。我們當時還很納悶，為什麼今年福岡市從日本消失了。幸好有個紐西蘭人，剛好和要在同一站離開去和日本朋友見面，他很好心地幫我們買了正確的車票，還告訴我們該怎麼去福岡。 What was your biggest travel disaster? Dave (my coach) and I missing our flight in Atlanta and having to buy an "I love Atlanta" shirt in the airport as I had no clothes because we then had to stay overnight. Very classy!! We could have driven to where we were going in seven hours from my base in Tampa; instead it took us 24 hours door to door. Q. 什麼是妳旅途中最可怕的災難? A. 我的教練Dave和我錯過在亞特蘭大的航班，由於我沒有換洗衣服，結果得穿著上頭有"我愛亞特蘭大"標語的男襯衫在機場過夜。其實後來想到，我們可以直接從我的暫居地Tampa開車，大約七小時就能抵達目的，也強過我們浪費二十四小時跑來跑去。 Personal travel advice/tip? Drink plenty of water even if it means having to go to the toilet a lot. It gets you up and moving on long haul flights and there is nothing worse than being dehydrated on a flight Q. 個人的旅遊建議或秘訣? A. 請盡可能的補充大量水份，就算會讓你一直跑廁所。至少這樣能強迫你在長途飛行中，多站起來走動，沒有比在飛行途中脫水更糟的事。 How do you deal with jet lag? Try and adjust to the local time of your destination ASAP. The quickest way for me revolves around food, eating meals when I should and trying not to sleep in. Getting outside in the sun always works for me as well. Q. 妳怎麼調整時差? A. 盡快調整成目的地時間的生活作息。對我來說最快的方式是從進食這方面下手，還有不要睡太晚。出去多曬曬太陽也很有用。 What tech do you expect in hotels when you are travelling? Definitely high-speed Wi-Fi internet in the room. I hate having to go to the lobby of hotels just to get internet. Q. 妳希望旅行時下塌的飯店有什麼科技產品? A. 房間內一定得配備高速的WI-FI網路。我不喜歡去大廳用電腦只是為了上網。 What is your dream travel tech to have on planes/in airports/at hotels? (Stuff they don't have yet but boy it would make life so much easier on the road) A teleporter so I don't have to sit on the plane. I'm quite an anxious flyer, crazy I know as I fly so much being a professional tennis player. Pity all the tournaments aren't in Australia. Q. 妳夢想中在機上、機場、飯店..等能配備的科技產品? (目前沒有但有它旅行會更方便) A. 一個瞬間移動裝置，可以讓我不用搭飛機。以我打職網這麼多年來看，我搭飛機時總是很焦慮、不安，可惜不是所有的巡迴賽都在澳洲舉辦。:( What is the best airport you've visited and why? Hong Kong and Singapore would be the airports I spend most of my time in as they are the stopovers to Australia; they have plenty of shops to pass the time. I don't mind Sydney Airport as it represents home or the start of a trip. Q. 去過最棒的機場和選擇它的原因?
