Take a look below for ten facts on our Dutch opponents... * The original Club were established on 10 May 1967 from a merger between Alkmaar '54 and FC Zaanstreek. They were originally called AZ'67 after the year of formation but changed to just 'AZ' in July 1986, the 'AZ' standing for 'Alkmaar Zaanstreek'. 1.AZ最早建立於1967.05.10，由【Alkmaar'54】和【FC Zaanstreek】這兩家俱樂部合併而成，合併後一開始叫做「AZ'67」，1986年七月後則簡稱做「AZ」，AZ拆開來就是「Alkmaar Zaanstreek」的意思。 * AZ finished runners-up to PSV Eindhoven in the Dutch league last season three points ahead of Feyenoord and 14 ahead of Ajax. 2.AZ在05/06賽季末排名第二，僅次於PSV，積分領先飛燕諾3分、阿賈克斯14分。 * The team are managed by former Ajax, Barcelona and Dutch manager Louis van Gaal. 3.主教練Louis van Gaal以前執教過Ajax、巴薩與荷蘭國家隊。 * AZ reached the UEFA Cup final in 1981. They faced Ipswich Town containing Frans Thijssen, Arnold Muhren and managed by Bobby Robson.
