The Swedish number one has bee tracked by a number of clubs over the past few months, but Charlton have emerged at the head of the queue in recent weeks. Isaksson has held talks with Charlton, but now he has revealed that City are in the running for his signature. City are in talks with Portsmouth about David James - so manager Stuart Pearce has seemingly already made moves to find a new number one. "I have an agreement with Charlton but I am waiting for City before I decide," Isaksson is quoted as saying in the News of the World. Isaksson was not involved in Rennes' opening day defeat to Lille on Saturday.
