http://tinyurl.com/2cf92k May 7th 2007 sees exactly one year since Highbury staged its final ever match and held its ‘Final Salute’ celebrations to close the stadium after being Arsenal’s home since 1913. 去年的這個時候~~海布里舉行了最後的告別巡禮 Since that day, construction on the property development ‘Highbury Square’ is well underway and Emirates Stadium has almost seen its first full season of football. 90% of apartments are now sold at the development of 711 high-spec one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and penthouses, all of which will be completed by summer 2009. 原址改建的新式公寓已經賣出九成~~預計在2009年夏天落成 Demolition at Highbury started in August last year, with two of the four stands being completely demolished by the end of January this year. The Art Deco facades of the Grade II-Listed East Stand, with its famous Marble Hall, and the locally-listed West Stand remain as construction currently continues around them. 375,000 man hours have been completed on site since work began, and just over 800 workers will be on the development at the peak of construction. A concrete batching plant has been constructed at the centre of the pitch, 140,000 m3 of material has been excavated and approximately 6,000m3 of concrete has been poured. 工程至今已經投入了375000的人/時, 即便在最高峰的施工期間也不過僅有800餘人投入工地施工. 目前已經開挖了140000立方米的地基並且已經完成了大約6000立方米的灌漿作業 (台灣的公共工程要不要去學學人家的效率...) Just over the road at Emirates Stadium, just under two million supporters have already gone through the turnstiles, compared to just over one million in the entire last season at Highbury. 26 Arsenal first team matches have been played, with 74 goals scored, and over 1 million match day programmes have been produced, in comparison to 600,000 at Highbury last season. More than 75,000 people have also already taken a tour around the new stadium. In addition, the stadium has hosted two international friendlies and more than 300 events, including three weddings, on non-match days. 而在對面的新家那邊, 已經有近200萬人造訪新主場, 並且印製了超過100萬的節目單. 超過七萬五千人已經已經做過了stadium tour(飛狗你在裡面耶XDD), 同時也舉行了兩場友誼賽. 更屌的是~~還辦了三場婚禮!! Since that day, Emirates Stadium has now hosted many magnificent matches, as well as events, and can now be called our home.
