Adebayor rewarded with new Arsenal contract

Arsenal have reacted to interest from Manchester United and Juventus in
Emmanuel Adebayor by extending the Togo forward's contract at the Emirates
Stadium until 2011. He was one of the Gunners' best players during a
disappointing season and it is understood he will double his wages to about
?35,000 a week.
Adebayor's agent, St?phane Courbis, yesterday said that the 23-year-old, who
has scored 16 goals in 57 appearances for Arsenal, had made it clear he
wanted to remain with Ars?ne Wenger.
