Why I'm convinced Arsenal can win the title - I've even bet my dinner on it By Darren Lewis Published 10:38 16/03/10 鏡報足球版 http://goo.gl/9RDT Since the start of the season I've had a friendly wager with my Mirrorfootball colleague John Cross that Arsenal will win the title. 球季開打之初，我和同事 John Cross 打賭 Arsenal 會贏下冠軍。（John Cross 也是鏡報的專欄作家，據說威信和影響力頗大？） Dinner in an expensive restaurant will be coming my way should Arsene Wenger's men prevail and I am already making a date in my diary to accommodate Crossie. 只要 Arsene Wenger 的小槍手們贏了，高級餐廳的晚宴就會自動送上門來（笑），我也在日記本上記下日期來配合 Crossie 的請客。 Partly because there is now an invincible spirit at the heart of the Gunners' title drive which saw has seen them over the line on several occasions this season in the kind of game they used to lose last term. 部分原因是，槍手們的奪冠意念裡有一股堅定不移的精神，展現在這一連串的賽事中，而過去的槍手總是堅持不到最後。 Partly because Chelsea and Manchester United could well cut each others' throats when they meet on April 3. 一部份是因為，Chelsea 和 ManUtd 即將在 4/3 展開割喉戰。 And partly because Wenger has built a squad which has coped impressively with the loss though injury of Robin van Persie, Cesc Fabregas, Theo Walcott and Aaron Ramsey to name but a few of their key men. 也因為教授在缺乏幾個關鍵球員，像是 RVP、F4、哇靠、Ramsey…等等，還能率領槍手贏下許多賽事。 It was because of the vast array of prodigious, attacking options at Wenger's disposal in the first place that I believed they could do it. And throughout the season, despite the impressive form of Chelsea and United, I have never changed my mind. 正因為當初教授安排許多大量的進攻模式，使得我相信它們可以贏下冠軍。儘管已經過了半個賽程且 Chelsea 和 ManUtd 所具有的強大陣容，我仍不改初衷。 I just hope complacency doesn't set in throughout the final few furlongs. They may have what many people describe as the easiest run-in but you could see against Hull that, initially, the Gunners expected to cruise to the three points and were eventually made to sweat for it. 我只希望槍手們不要在最後衝刺時有了自滿的心態。槍手或許有著眾人所形容的〝輕而易舉賽程〞，但在對抗 Hull 一役，起先槍手便期待輕鬆奪下三分，結果，直到最後一刻才嚐到甜頭。（ Arsenal 不要鬆懈！） But if you happen to be at a half-decent eaterie come May time, and you see a bloke filling his face, come up and say hello. It might just be me. 哪天來到了五月的時候，你出現在還算體面的餐館裡，看到一名食客正在狼吞虎嚥，接著起身跟你打招呼，那就是我。（看來這位專欄作家篤信 Arsenal 必定會贏！不知道他是不是槍迷？）＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊說真的，看到連 Hull 都要打這麼辛苦，很難想像槍手是真的要衝冠？而且曼聯仍領先我們，Chelsea 還少賽一場，且雙方的淨勝球大於我廠。（之前強調的瘋狂進球哪裡去了？目前我廠進球數仍是第一，但失球亦是前四的第一。）參考一下前三名的剩下賽程： ManUtd Chelsea Arsenal ------------------------------------------------------- Liverpool Blackburn WestHam Utd Bolton Portsmouth Birmingham Chelsea Aston Villa Wolves Blackburn Man Utd Tottenham Man City Bolton Wigan Athletic Tottenham Tottenham Man City Sunderland Stoke City Blackburn Stoke City Liverpool Fulham Wigan Athletic -------------------------------------------------------- ManUtd 的頭號對手：Chelsea。但下一場也一樣關鍵：Liverpool。特別是 Torres 的復出，應可帶來不少麻煩。關鍵賽事：Liverpool、Chelsea、Man City。 Chelsea 昨天怎樣，想必大家都心知肚明了。不用說，它們會全力取勝，至少要拿下冠軍。 Chelsea 的優勢：不去想歐冠，只要專注拼聯賽。（Arsenal ManUtd 還繼續拼歐冠呢）關鍵賽事：ManUtd, Liverpool。 Arsenal 看起來就比大哥和二哥好一點，只不過，我們沒有輸的本錢，而且還要拼淨勝球。關鍵賽事：Tottenham、Man City。但這些觀點都純屬猜測，Arsenal 還是得步步為營，穩紮穩打，全取 24 分。外加一個歐冠，也不為過。 Goal!
