RABAT, Morocco (AP) -- Defending champion Emilie Loit of France advanced to the
quarterfinals of the Grand Prix SAR on Thursday, defeating eighth-seeded
Claudine Schaul of Luxembourg 7-5, 6-4.
Top-seeded Na Li of China also won, ousting Serbia-Montenegro's Jelena Dokic
6-0, 3-6, 6-2. Na is attempting to reach her second final in as many weeks, and
will play Antonella Serra Zanetti of Italy in the quarters. Loit will face
Spain's Lourdes Dominguez Lino.
