Martin O'Neill has dismissed the continued speculation he could walk away from
Aston Villa this summer.

Reports emerged that O'Neill may be considering his future after the 7-1
defeat at Chelsea in March, with the manager said to be unhappy that he
had not received the credit he felt he deserved from supporters, but he
said at the time that he planned to stay on.

He sparked fresh rumours at the club's Player of the Year awards on Wednesday
as he failed to commit his future to Villa during a speech, but he insists he
simply did not want to give the rumours credibility.

"Of course I want to stay," he said. "Why wouldn't I? It is a fantastic
football club and it has things in place.
