This looks like a good trade for both teams.
Saarloos is another Justin Duchscherer-type pitcher for Oakland.
He'll join Triple-A Sacramento and be used as starter for now.
He would make an adequate fifth starter on some teams,
but as a member of the A's,
he should only be a candidate to pitch in middle relief.
