關於 Drexler當 GM的可能性 on 5/18
當時傳言 Drexler 也有可能接任拓荒者 GM ，Jim的答覆如下
First, Pippen would play for a year or two more, and then
when he is finished playing, move into the front office.
So, play two more years, move into front office when he is
done playing. ... As for Drexler, he is not qualified to
be a president or a general manager. He has no experience.
When he was at the University of Houston, he was a figurehead,
good and shaking hands with boosters, but no very good at
anything else. He delegated work to his assistant coaches.
While he is very popular in Portland, and his single-digit
golf handicap would go a long way toward schmoozing clients
on the golf course, he has no experience at running a NBA team.
He would do well as a community relations representative, but
I don't think Paul Allen would want Drexler watching his bottom
line. The Blaze s need somebody who has experience with keen
business sense. If Drexler gets a job with the Blazers, I believe
it will be in a minor role, perhaps as an assitant to the director
of community affairs But that is only a guess.
