Positional Rankings: Centers Aug. 29, 2006 By Tony Mejia CBS SportsLine.com Staff Writer The slow extinction of the traditional center in the NBA has never looked so inevitable. This has been hinted at for years. Look at the clues: fewer traditional big men worthy of All-Star Game berths; Shaquille O'Neal calling himself the LCL (Last Center Left); San Antonio, Dallas, Phoenix and most of the Western Conference opting to utilize small ball throughout last year's playoffs. Now comes the greatest indication of all: the rankings below. LCL leads the pack despite coasting through regular seasons, while Yao Ming and Amare Stoudemire are coming back from injuries. Those guys are basically the cream of the crop. The center position has seen better days. No wonder teams are phasing them out. True quality bigs are scarce. So the entire class is on the same page, the way I do rankings here is simple: Who would you rather have on your team this season? Upside is taken into account, but only for the upcoming campaign. Whether you're a bargain or a bad contract doesn't matter. Easy enough to follow, right? Here are the best of the dying breed: 18. Joel Przybilla, Portland: His decision to return to the Blazers rather than head to Detroit was puzzling, but it's clear he's a patient man. Provided he stays healthy, he should be the backbone defensively as Nate McMillan continues his rebuilding project. 20. Jamaal Magloire, Portland: It's unclear where he fits in with Portland, but it wouldn't be surprising to see him help some playoff contender following the trade deadline. This guy was an All-Star in 2004 and still has plenty left. He's an above-average rebounder and shot blocker. http://www.sportsline.com/nba/story/9625945 這是CBS排的中鋒前20名的排名, 拓荒者有兩位上榜, 不過這東西本來較主觀一點XD 所以...各位看看參考一下就好XD -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 61.228.103.51 ※ 編輯: Rostow 來自: 61.228.103.51 (08/31 08:22)
