The pressures of supporting an extended family, and the lure of lifelong security are two of the things Roy wrestles with as he enters his third season, during which he will be paid $3.084 million. Roy is the 8th highest paid player on the Blazers, behind Channing Frye ($3.16 million), Martell Webster ($3.77), Travis Outlaw ($4.0), Steve Blake ($4.59), LaMarcus Aldridge ($4.63), Greg Oden ($5.01) and Joel Przybilla ($6.31). But interestingly, Roy says he doesn't necessarily long for the big bucks, saying more money can lead to more problems. When Roy does sign his big contract, he said he will probably buy his parents a larger home. Other than that, he doesn't know what he would do. His most ostentatious possession is a Maserati, which he demurely parks in his garage behind a closed door, while his Toyota Tundra sits on the driveway.
