In June, 4 Portland Trail Blazers accepted invitations to this week's Team USA minicamp in Las Vegas. The minicamp is essentially an invitation-only open tryout for the few open roster spots on the United States Men's National Team. First, Brandon Roy and then LaMarcus Aldridge were scratched last week. This afternoon, Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports is reporting that Jerryd Bayless will not participate in this week's camp due to a sprained left wrist he suffered in Saturday's Summer League game against the San Antonio Spurs. The injury also kept him out of Sunday's Summer League against the D-League Select squad. Spears further reports that Washington Wizard center JaVale McGee is set to take Bayless's place.
