Blazers' Fernandez out with back pain, will undergo MRI

Portland Trail Blazers forward Rudy Fernandez said he will not play tonight
against the Houston Rockets at the Rose Garden.
Fernandez stated at 5:55 p.m. inside the Blazers' locker room that his lower
back is again giving him trouble.
The Blazers confirmed the news soon thereafter, issuing a statement that
Fernandez is dealing with sciatic pain. He will undergo an MRI tonight and is
questionable for Monday's road game against the New York Knicks.
Fernandez walked out of the locker room in street clothes at 6 p.m. tonight,
after speaking with a couple of his teammates.
