Despite the rumors of Minnesota's offer, as of Thursday there had been no verbal agreement with Batum and Minnesota. The Blazers could land both Hibbert and Batum if Hibbert signs his offer sheet first because the Blazers own Batum's Bird Rights, meaning they can go over their salary cap to re-sign him. 此話怎麼說呢？看看現在吧，拓荒者有大約16.5M的空間可以簽自由球員，而他們已經與溜馬的中鋒Roy Hibbert達成了4年58M的口頭協議，如果溜馬選擇不跟進的話，那麼拓荒者就有機會可以先簽下Hibbert然後再簽下Batum，因為拓荒者擁有Batum的鳥權，這讓他們可以不用管薪資上限的問題而簽下他。目前的情況看起來是還蠻樂觀的，就像Olshey講的，之前不簽Batum的情況就跟去年他在快艇時DeAndre Jordan的情況一樣，只是為了之後更加有利的情況的操作，至於Batum方的放話我覺得幾乎都是經紀人的操作，身為經紀人他當然想要他的球員能賺越多越好，所以才會常常抱怨拓荒者不夠尊重啦，跑去灰狼抬高身價啦之類的，但是Batum本人一直都沒有想要離開過吧，他也說過他確定拓荒者有99%的機率會跟他續約，所以一切都是因為薪資空間的設計。拓荒者如果很早就跟他續約，則Batum佔有的cap hold可能就是8M 10M甚至12M，而非現在QO的5.4M而已，這一來一往5~8M的差距就會讓我們的薪資空間下降到10M左右而已，那麼現在可能就無力跟Hibbert報價了。 J.J.Hickson的情況我覺得也類似，拓荒者如果給他QO，那麼可運用的薪資空間也只剩下10~12M左右，馬後炮來看，這樣也不行開給Hibbert合約，所以只好先不給他QO，然後之後再尋求簽回他的機會。不知道為什麼，我是還蠻樂觀的啦XD 我覺得目前的態勢看起來還蠻不錯的，最後成型的陣容可能是 C: Roy Hibbert /Meyers Leonard/Kurt Thomas PF: LaMarcus Aldridge/J.J.Hickson SF: Nicolas Batum/Luke Babbit SG: Wesley Matthews/Elliot Williams/Will Barton PG: Damian Lillard/Nolan Smith 剛好12人而且除了老科湯整個就超年輕，如果後場能找個老將PG來傳授經驗就最好了 (Billups殘念QQ) 希望最後結果會比我想像中的還好!!!
