這次換Brian Meehan來談談現在的拓荒者,節錄一些重點, 全文等到翻譯魔人出爐,再拜託翻譯魔人嚕 :P Let's take a look at your situation. Your best player, Rasheed Wallace, shows signs of wanting out, but his value is tainted by a tempestuous personality. You won't get his equal if you trade him. Your savviest player, Arvydas Sabonis, has announced he will not return. Scottie Pippen, who held your team together at the point last season, is a free agent with a jaundiced view of your organization. He, too, might pack up. Your other possible starting point guard, Damon Stoudamire, feels abused by the franchise and wants out of his hometown. Your coach wanted a shooter or a point guard in the recent draft. He got neither. Your top draft choice has great athletic ability but is years from being a starter. Yet you will have to play him because the notion that an NBA team can develop a young player in practice is absurd. Now for the good news: In the playoffs, Bonzi Wells showed his best position is shooting guard, but you already have Derek Anderson at that spot. Zach Randolph proved he is an emerging force at power forward, leaving you with a projected starting lineup that includes three power forwards (Wallace, Randolph and Dale Davis) and two shooting guards (Wells and Anderson). You thought you had problems when your guys dominated the police blotter; just w ait until they dominate the losing column. Your team is poised to make a historic dive toward the lottery, and you won't be able to stop the swoon. To stem the damage, try this: Start with Wallace. The first order of business is to determine whether he wants to be here. If he does, he must change. He must become a leader, stop goofing around in practice, start reaching out to fans by talking to the media, start playing hard every night, not just when matched against Tim Duncan or Kevin Garnett. If Wallace doesn't want to be in Portland, trade him immediately, even if it is for a mascot to be named later. Choose Anderson or Wells. I suggest keeping Wells and trading Anderson. If you are able to inject character into this team, Wells will go with the flow. And he is a much better player than Anderson. You do need to keep an eye on the win column. Resolve Stoudamire. Play him or move him, but don't keep trying to reinvent him. Re-sign Pippen. He will help set the new tone. Beg Sabonis to return. The giant Lithuanian still has good miles left on his ancient odometer. You could blaze another direction and change the team's entire makeup. You might end up with a more fan-friendly team, but your Dudley Dorights will get their ears boxed most nights. You could try deflecting fan scrutiny by persuading owner Paul Allen to bring an NHL team to Portland. On nights that the hardwood covered the ice at the Rose Garden, you could drop the curtain over the upper deck. Who knows, the "theater in the clouds" approach might be an improvement over Portland's long-running theater of the absurd. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.csie.ntu.edu.tw) ◆ From: 210.68.32.247
