與 Outlaw 簽約

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The Portland Trail Blazers were expected to announce
the signing of first-round draft pick Travis Outlaw on Monday.
The team called a news conference to introduce Outlaw, the 23rd overall pick
in the NBA's June draft.
Under the terms of the league's collective bargaining agreement, Outlaw can
sign up to a three-year deal worth as much as $2.5 million.
Outlaw, 18, a 6-9, 210-pound forward, decided to forgo college to enter the
draft. He was the second high schooler selected, behind No. 1 pick LeBron
James, who went to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Outlaw averaged 25 points, 10 rebounds and six blocked shots in leading
Mississippi's Starkville High School to the Class 5A state championship game.
He scored 10 points in the McDonald's High School all-star game in March in
Cleveland.
Outlaw was expected to participate in the Blazers' three-day minicamp starting
Wednesday. He was also set to join Portland's team in the Rocky Mountain Revue
summer league in Salt Lake City.
The Blazers' summer league team will also feature 7-3 center Nedzad Sinanovic
from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Portland's second draft pick and the 54th overall
selection.
Current Trail Blazers Zach Randolph, Qyntel Woods and Ruben Boumtje Boumtje
were also on the squad.
