REDMOND, Ore., Oct. 14 (Ticker) -- Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis scored 17 points
each to lead six players in double figures as the Seattle SuperSonics rolled
to a 110-91 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday.
Brent Barry was 4-of-4 from three-point range and scored 14 points for the
SuperSonics. Reggie Evans added 12 points, Vladimir Radmanovic 11 and Jerome
James 10 for Seattle, which shot 46 percent (39-of-85) from the field,
including 9-of-16 from the arc.
The Sonics took control by outscoring the Trail Blazers, 59-37, in the middle
two quarters. They led by as many as 24 points.
Vitaly Potapenko did not play for Seattle. Neither did rookie point guard Luke
Ridnour, who is expected to participate in practice Thursday for the first time
after an injury-plagued summer.
Jeff McInnis had 16 points and nine assists for the Blazers, who shot 47
percent (35-of-74). Rasheed Wallace added 15 points and Bonzi Wells 14.
Portland was without guards Derek Anderson, who has back spasms, and Damon
Stoudamire, who had a court date.
