He was called for a foul while contesting rookie Richie Frahm's drive to the basket. The SuperSonics responded by hitting three free throws to build their lead to five points. Vladimir Radmanovic, who scored 12 points, hit two three-pointers down the stretch to help Seattle preserve its lead. Ray Allen led Seattle with 24 points on 8-of-12 shooting, including 3-of-4 from three-point range. Rashard Lewis added 17 points while first-round pick Luke Ridnour had six and one assist in his NBA debut for Seattle. Seattle's Antonio Daniels started at point guard but had no assists, two turnovers and just six points against his former team. He was signed as a free agent during the offseason. Zach Randolph led Portland with 21 points on 7-of-10 shooting. Wallace had 14 points and 10 rebounds before fouling out. Dale Davis contributed 10 points and 12 rebounds.
