Klopp upbeat on Lewandowski and hopeful on Blaszczykowski
Two days before the Bundesliga home game against Hamburg SV, Borussia Dortmund
are sweating over the fitness of Jakub Blaszczykowski. "He is better but not
yet ready," said BVB coach Jurgen Klopp on the Poland skipper who suffered a
knee ligament strain during the World Cup qualifier against San Marino on
Tuesday.
Robert Lewandowski (knee tendonitis), however, is expected to be fit in time
for Saturday's Bundesliga clash with HSV. "He will train at a lower intensity
today and return to normal training tomorrow," said Klopp who also declared
Nuri Sahin free from injury after the Dortmund midfielder "turned his ankle in
the first qualifier" on Friday.
Marco Reus has also recovered from a stomach bug which had forced him to
return home early from international duty for Germany. He was back in training
on Wednesday and will be available for the game on Saturday.
