Like a game of handball
The DFB Cup tie against 1860 Munich reminded BVB sporting
director Michael Zorc of a handball game. Sven Bender was celebrated by the
fans of both sides after his substitution, and "this doesn′t happen too
often," as he said after the game, while Nuri Sahin stated: "We more than
deserved the win. The cup, of course, follows its own rules, but it would
have been sad if we had been knocked out."
Michael Zorc: "It was a match that looked like a game of handball. Friedhelm
Funkel really put up a brick wall, with Benny Lauth as the only striker and
two defensive lines of four and five respectively. At times we struggled a
bit, did not take our chances, but in the end picked up a deserved win. We
could have gone, of course, without extra time, but that′s the cup."

are celebrated by fans from both sides after your substitution. My respect to
all Lions fans. It was annoying that with all the games we have we had to go
into extra time. But we only have to blame ourselves. At least, we now have a
day′s more rest than before this game."

Jonas Hofmann: "It was difficult to find a way through. 1860 Munich sat very
deep, especially after the sending off. That′s why it took us so long to
find a gap. But it was a deserved win. Munich wanted to get into penalties,
but we showed character and kept on trying. That was our biggest strength."

沙欣說:我們唯一的問題就是沒有早早進球,如果我們被淘汰就太讓人傷心啦,我們絕對值
得這場勝利
