Leiter signed a minor league contract with the Yankees in 2006; however, he stat
ed he would likely retire. The primary reason he spent part of spring training w
ith the Yankees was to keep in shape for the World Baseball Classic. After the U
nited States team was eliminated from the World Baseball Classic, he officially
retired in an interview on YES, after a Yankees spring training victory versus t
he Indians where Leiter pitched 1 3 of an inning.[15]

就和洋基簽小聯盟合約，在洋基春訓
打完就宣布退休了
