[News] Blue Jays sign OF Lane, INF Fahey
TORONTO (TICKER) —The Toronto Blue Jays on Monday signed outfielder Jason Lane
and infielder Brandon Fahey to minor-league contracts.
Lane, who has not played in the majors since 2007, spent last season bouncing
between the minors in the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox organizations.
The 32-year-old Lane hit .168 with eight home runs and 27 RBI in 68 RBI with
Houston before being traded to San Diego in 2007. He appeared in just three
games with the Padres.
Lane has hit .241 with 61 home runs and 189 RBI in 497 games with Houston and
San Diego.
Fahey, 28, batted .226 with 12 RBI in 58 games with Baltimore last season.
Fahey is a career .224 hitter with two home runs and 36 RBI in three seasons
with the Orioles.
