[News] Blue Jays sign P Hayhurst
TORONTO (Ticker) - The Toronto Blue Jays on Friday signed righthander Dirk
Hayhurst to a minor league contract for the 2009 season.
Hayhurst, 27, appeared in 10 games - three starts - for the San Diego Padres in
2008, posting an 0-2 record with a 9.72 ERA.
He had been released by the Blue Jays on Tuesday to make room on the roster for
righthander Matt Bush.
