Blue Jays hire Bordick as instructor
Former Toronto shortstop returns as roving Minor League coach

DUNEDIN, Fla. -- The Blue Jays will have a familiar face helping out around
their farm system this season. On Wednesday, Toronto announced that it has hired
Mike Bordick to be the club's roving Minor League infield instructor.

Bordick, who has been in camp for the past few weeks with the Blue Jays, spent
14 seasons in the Major Leagues and finished with a .982 fielding percentage.
Considered one of the top defensive shortstops in the Majors during his big
league career, Bordick spent time with the A's (1990-96), Orioles (1997-2000,
2001-02), Mets (2000) and Blue Jays (2003).
