Blue Jays designate Politte for assignment
The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have designated RHP CLIFF POLITTE for Assignment.
POLITTE, 29, was 1-5 with 12 saves and a 5.66 ERA in 54 games this past
season for the BLUE JAYS. The 5'11", 197 lbs. right-hander was acquired
by Toronto on May 26, 2002 from the Philadelphia Phillies in exchange for
LHP Dan Plesac. The native of St. Louis, MO, has a career mark of 13-17
with 13 saves and a 4.52 ERA in 178 games, making 16 starts.
