[消息] Brewers call up Nelson for Sunday start

With Yovani Gallardo unable to make his scheduled start Sunday due to a
sprained left ankle, the Milwaukee Brewers will recall right-hander Jimmy
Nelson from Triple-A Nashville to pitch the series finale with the Miami
Marlins.
Ranked by Baseball America as Milwaukee's top prospect, Nelson is 5-1 with
1.71 ERA in nine starts for Nashville this season. The 24-year-old made his
big-league debut with the Brewers last September, allowing just one earned
run in 10 innings.
Nelson made his first major-league start on Sept. 28 of last season, working
five innings and giving up one earned run on one hit with three walks and four
strikeouts in Milwaukee's 4-2 victory over the New York Mets.
This season in Triple A, Nelson has 58 strikeouts in 58 innings, holding
opposing hitters to a .180 batting average.
The Brewers scratched Nelson from his scheduled start Friday and moved
right-hander Taylor Jungmann from Double A to Triple A to start for the Sounds.
Milwaukee will need to make a corresponding roster move prior to Sunday's
game in order to get Nelson on the 25-man roster.
Gallardo sprained his left ankle Tuesday while trying to field a ball hit
back at him. The Brewers don't feel the injury is serious enough to require a
trip to the disabled list.
