Poor draft grade for Bucks 原文連結:http://www.jsonline.com/sports/47131747.html The Milwaukee Bucks rank 17th among 30 National Basketball Association teams in the effectiveness of their drafts over the last 20 years, according to a statistical study done by ESPN Insider. The Bucks are one of three teams assigned a letter grade of C-minus for their drafts. Orlando and Minnesota also received C-minus grades. Key to the evaluation is a metric called estimated wins added, which compares the production of a team's pick with what that pick typically generates. For example, center Andrew Bogut has a career EWA of 5.4, a solid number in this system, but No. 1 overall picks have expected EWAs of 7.8, so Milwaukee's number suffers as a result. San Antonio is deemed the best drafting team in the study, followed by the Los Angeles Lakers, Phoenix, Toronto and Cleveland. All of those teams received some form of "A" grade. The teams at the bottom are led by the Los Angeles Clippers, who have another No. 1 overall pick in this year's draft. The Clippers received an "F," a grade that also went to Charlotte, Atlanta, Washington, New Jersey, Denver and New York. Record against the best The Bucks were 1-4 in games this season against the Lakers and Magic, who are playing for the league title. The Bucks were 0-2 against the Lakers and 1-2 against Orlando. In the past five seasons, the Bucks are 3-9 (.250) against the Lakers and 6-9 (.400) against the Magic. Against the two teams combined over the last five seasons the Bucks are 9-19 (.333). Game 1 rating down In the Milwaukee market, the rating for Game 1 of the NBA Finals was down more than 25% compared to last season. Magic at Lakers on Thursday night on WISN-TV (Channel 12), a blowout victory by the Lakers, had a rating of 6.4, or 57,942 households. Game 1 last season between the Lakers and Boston Celtics, which also was played on a Thursday night, had an 8.6 rating, or 76,626 households. Nationally, the overnight rating for Game 1 was down 14.4% compared to last season. Finals degree angle There is one college graduate among the starters for the Lakers and Magic. Magic rookie guard Courtney Lee graduated from Western Kentucky in May 2008, with a major in sociology and a minor in criminology. Lakers guard Derek Fisher played for four seasons at Arkansas-Little Rock but apparently did not complete the requirements for a degree. Neither the Lakers nor the Arkansas-Little Rock records office could confirm or deny Fisher graduated. Dwight Howard, Rashard Lewis, Kobe Bryant and Andrew Bynum attended U.S. high schools but did not attend college. Hedo Turkoglu of Turkey and Pau Gasol of Spain did not attend college. Magic guard Rafer Alston spent two years in junior college and one year at Fresno State. Lakers guard Trevor Ariza stayed one year at UCLA.
