Mission accomplished. The Bucks drafted three players -- power forward Larry Sanders, power forward Tiny Gallon and guard Darington Hobson -- who possess above-average athleticism. Bucks general manager John Hammond called Sanders the fastest big man in the draft. "His speed from endline to endline is amazing," Hammond said. Hobson also has speed and quickness and Gallon runs the floor gracefully, especially for someone who weighs 302 pounds. A day after the draft, the Bucks acquired guard Chris Douglas-Roberts from New Jersey for a second-round pick in 2012. --The Bucks don't know whether John Salmons will return, so to replace his points (possibly) they acquired a proven scorer, Corey Maggette, from Golden State along with the Warriors' second-round draft pick (44th overall). The price was relatively low: center Dan Gadzuric and guard Charlie Bell. Yes, Bell did start 39 games for the Bucks last season, but he was in and out of the doghouse. Gadzuric is not much of an inside presence. It wasn't an inexpensive move. Maggette has three years and $31 million left on his contract. Gadzuric is owed $7.2 million for the 2010-11 season, and Bell is due to make about $8 million over the next two years. DRAFT PICKS: Larry Sanders, PF, 6-11, Virginia Commonwealth (first round, No. 15) --- Sanders is one of the best interior defenders in the draft, having averaged 9.1 rebounds and 2.6 blocked shots last season as a junior. Sanders has played organized basketball only since his junior year in high school, and Bucks officials are impressed with his constant improvement. General manager John Hammond believes Sanders, while raw offensively, could play decent minutes in his rookie season. Darington Hobson, G, 6-6, New Mexico (second round, No. 37) --- Bucks officials are impressed with Hobson's versatility -- he's capable of playing small forward, shooting guard and point guard. General manager John Hammond said they had rated Hobson considerably higher than the 37th overall pick. Hobson led the Lobos in scoring (15.9 points), rebounds (9.3) and assists (4.6), thus becoming the first player in New Mexico history to lead the team in those categories in the same season. Keith "Tiny" Gallon, PF, 6-9, Oklahoma (second round, No. 47) -- Bucks general manager John Hammond said Gallon "is a very, very talented guy." At the Chicago pre-draft camp, Gallon weighed 302 pounds and had 15.1 percent body fat.
