FIFA特別在賽前訪問到正在南非當地為電視台作評論工作的Lehmann叔叔

Q：What was your first thought when Germany and Argentina qualified to face
each other?
當您知道德國將再次與阿根廷在八強決戰，心中的第一個念頭？
A：I was thrilled. Every football fan looks forward to this kind of clash, a
fixture which rouses whole nations.
我相當興奮。這是每一位足球迷都會期待的一場比賽，整個國家都會因此而沸騰起來。
Q：And what do you think will happen?
您覺得這場比賽將會如何發展？
A：Argentina are a very good team, but Germany are fitter. The German
coaching staff also have more experience of the tournament, which is a
disadvantage for Argentina.
A：阿根廷是支好隊伍，但德國隊狀態較佳。德國隊教練團對於大賽的經驗也較為豐富，
反之阿根廷在這一方面較為弱勢。
Q：Would it make the takers nervous if Neuer produced a slip of paper?
若這次Neuer又拿出一張紙條，是否有造成對手緊張的效果？
A：I certainly hope so! Maybe there's something to simply pulling out a note,
and the takers might start thinking 'Oh Lord, here we go again'. Maybe it'll
be enough to beat Argentina.
我當然希望如此！也許我們隨手拿一張紙就會讓對手心中響起OS：『拜託！他們怎麼又
玩這招！』也許這個效果足以擊敗阿根廷。
Q：What do you think of Diego Maradona the coach?
您覺得老馬這個教練的角色扮演的如何？
A：As far as I can tell, Maradona has an extremely good relationship with his
players. He's one of the greatest players in history, so his men will trust
him completely. You've got two factors coming together, him and the
individual class in his team. What he lacks is the tactical and technical
maturity of the German coaching staff. Maradona is more of a figurehead and
motivator.
目前我所能瞭解到的，就是老馬與他的隊員們有著良好的互動關係。他是史上最偉大的
球員之一，所以他的球員們對他十分信任。但他缺乏德國教練團成熟的戰術運用技巧。
老馬在球隊中反而更像是一個激勵士氣的名義領袖。
Q：Like Jurgen Klinsmann in 2006?
2006年的Klinsmann是否就是這種角色？
A：No, that's often unfairly levelled at Jurgen Klinsmann. Obviously, his
motivational skills were required at the tournament, and he was outstanding
in that respect. But he prepared us perfectly for each match and took all the
right selection decisions for every position.
不，這正是外界對他常有的誤解。大賽進行中，激勵士氣是身為一個教練的必備條件，
他這一點也作得很好，但除此之外，每一場比賽他都為我們作了充足的準備，也為團隊
中的每個環節挑選了最恰當的人選。
Q：Turning to your personal future, you're here in South Africa as a TV pundit,
but what comes next?
再來談談您的未來規劃。您此次是以電視台的評論專家身份來到南非，那麼比賽結束之
後呢？
A：There's nothing planned as yet. I only finished playing a few weeks ago, and
I'm now working for TV here at the World Cup. I'm going on holiday for a
month or two with my family, and we'll see what happens after that. I might
see about qualifying as a coach, but I'll take it as it comes.
我還沒有什麼計畫。幾週前我才從職業生涯中退下來，這裡的工作結束之後我將和家人
先度上一兩個月的假，之後再看看吧！也許我會去試試看教練這個領域。但當有其他機
會來臨時，我同樣會去把握。
