The Yankees scored another pair of runs in the fourth as Derek : Jeter hit a double and four of the next five batters walked. 這場比賽洋基有兩個半局攻佔滿壘, 也都順利取得分數. 第一次滿壘出現在二局下半, 當一個要命失誤使得原本會被雙殺的局面變成一二壘有人, 隨後便延長了洋基的攻勢, 他們在這局拿下兩分. 第二次滿壘則是出現在四局下半, 在Jeter揮出二壘安打後, 魔鬼魚投手群開始壞球連發, 在接下來的五個人次中保送四人, 洋基也因而擠回兩分. : Tampa Bay starter Tim Corcoran walked six batters in 3 1/3 innings.
