Posada continued his throwing program for his recovering shoulder and all three hit on one of the immaculate fields there. It was nice to smell freshly-mown grass again, frankly. The sun was shining brightly, the sky was crystal blue. The only annoying weather factor was a chilly wind, but it's not much to complain about considering everything else. That, clearly, will be a big part of his game if he is a regular player. There are about 60 players working out daily at the complex, most of them minor-leaguers. "I think the first time around, people didn't know what to expect. I think a lot of people said, hey, a chance to get out of spring training, go play a few games. Asked if he thought other countries took the tournament more seriously than the US, Jeter replied: "I wouldn't necessarily say they took it more seriously. I think they were better prepared and what I mean by that is that they are playing throughout this whole time in winter leagues, the Carribean World Series, the Cuban team playing, Japanese teams playing earlier. I'm not saying it's an excuse, but I would say it would swing more toward that than that we didn't take it seriously. We just didn't play well enough." Team USA plays an exhibition game against the Yankees on March 3, meaning Jeter will be playing AGAINST the pinstripes for the first time. 3/3美國隊將與洋基打熱身賽，這是Jeter第一次對上自己的球隊。 "Hopefully, I won't see any pitches inside," he joked.
