Seventh seed Nicole Vaidisova may be the glamour girl of the 2009 ASB Classic
but she showed on Monday that she is prepared to get down and dirty.

The 19-year-old battled for 157 minutes before eventually beating Alla
Kurdryavsteva 7-6 (7-3) 4-6 7-5.
她花了兩小時三十七分鐘，總算K.O.俄羅斯亂碼。
After the match she was happy that she had stayed tough, especially after
blowing two match points deep in the third set.
賽後她表示要展現硬漢本色，特別是在第三盤搞掉了兩個賽末點之後。
"It's hard to play when you know you had two match points on your serve and
it is going in your head but I tried to hang in there, especially mentally
and don't give up - keep on playing."
她說: "當你腦袋知道有兩個賽末點對著你笑的時候，總是特別困難。但我一直告訴自己
要撐住別放棄。"
Vaidisova admitted she was worried when Kurdysavsteva rallied from 4-0 down
to tie things up at 5-5 in the final set.
"She started coming back and obviously you freak out a little bit."
她也承認亂碼在第三盤的逆襲把比數扳平之後她開始擔心起來。
