"It's my third title and my first tournament of the new season," explained
Stepanek. "I have the trophy, so I can't find the words right now. I'm
very happy with the way I played this week; I fought from the first point to
the last point in every match. Three times I came back from a set down. I
played very good tennis and here is the reward for it.
"I broke off from my off-season much earlier, as I was called from my
holidays to the Tennis Masters Cup in Shanghai [now known at the Barclays ATP
World Tour Finals]," said Stepanek.
"Since then I have worked on my preparations for the new season in Florida,
with Petr Korda and my conditioning coach. We've been working very hard for
three-and-a-half weeks and I was feeling great coming here. For many years I
haven't started the first tournament well, so I would like to thank the guys
for preparing me.”
他說去年底蠻早就開始作季前準備，在佛羅里達和Petr Korda及體能教練一起訓練。
這三個多禮拜的準備收到了好效果，因為過去他的開季成績都不是很好，所以他很感謝幫
助他的這些夥伴。(文中說Korda是他現在的教練)
