Marco Amelia may have played his last game for Livorno after
it was confirmed that the goalkeeper will undergo knee surgery on Tuesday.

The shot-stopper has been suffering with a meniscus problem since pulling
out of the Italy squad for the Euro 2008 qualifier against Scotland in March.

It was initially thought that he could delay the operation
until the end of the season, but medics have had a re-think.
一開始認為他能撐到賽季結束再動刀，但是醫療組改變了初衷。
Amelia, who featured in the 2-1 loss to Chievo on Sunday,
is aiming to be back in action for mid May but it seems likely
that he will now be out for the campaign.

本來打算在五月中歸隊，現在看來他的賽季已經結束了。
The No 1's future at the Stadio Armando Picchi is still in doubt
given the transfer interest in his services.
A January switch failed to materialise, but the former Roma youngster
could make a move before the 2007-08 campaign.
He's liked by numerous foreign clubs even if Milan and Juventus may
table a bid depending on what decision Gigi Buffon makes about his career.
Amelia could therefore either replace Nelson Dida at the San Siro
or Buffon in Turin.
