Corini pens Torino contract

Former Palermo star Eugenio Corini has signed a one-year contract
with Torino, announced the club.
The veteran midfielder had been a free agent after the Rosanero
refused to renew his deal, claiming he had not shown loyalty to
the Sicilians by talking to Parma.
Corini will turn 37 on July 30 and is set to earn ￡330,000 for
the season under the tutelage of Coach Walter Novellino.
At Torino he will reunite with his ex-Palermo midfield partner Simone Barone,
who has struggled to make his mark since leaving the club.
This has been a great campaign for Corini,
who set a new personal best in Serie A of 10 goals in 27 appearances.
He started his career with hometown club Brescia in 1986 and has since
played for Juventus, Sampdoria, Napoli, Piacenza, Verona, Chievo
and had been at Palermo since 2003-04, helping them to promotion.
