Torino have beaten Parma to the signing of Palermo striker David Di Michele,
the club have confirmed.
The 31-year-old seemed close to joining the Ducali, but failed to agree
to personal terms and President Maurizio Zamparini finally agreed a deal
with the Granata instead.

Palermo 主席 Zamparini 於是跟 Torino 敲定了轉會。
Torino chief Urbano Cairo had been following the player for some time
and reportedly offered him a three-year contract worth ￡535,000 a year.
Torino 主席 Cairo 已經注意他一陣子了，據報給出三年約，年薪約５０萬英鎊。
He has been keen to strengthen his side's attacking options after
a dismal term in front of goal, with Nicola Ventola having already
agreed to join Toro.
Cairo 渴於補強進攻選擇以解決球隊鋒線無力的問題，
Nicola Ventola 已經加盟 Torino。
Di Michele, who moved south after a successful spell with Udinese,
appeared 19 times last season and scored seven goals.
The forward started his career with Lodigiani in Serie C1,
before moving on to Foggia and Salernitana, where he made his Serie A debut.
He joined Udinese for the 2001-02 season, but returned to Reggina on loan
for two seasons before starting his adventure at the Stadio Friuli.
