Marco Di Vaio is determined to prove he “still belongs in Serie A”
with his move to Bologna.
“My objective is to show that I am still a top flight player,”
he announced after completing a loan move with the option to buy from Genoa.
He walked away from Marassi following a blazing row with
Coach Gian Piero Gasperini, with whom he never really saw eye to eye.

“What upset me far more than getting left on the bench
was being forced to play in a role that did not suit me at all.
因為被要求踢他認為自己不適合的位置。
“This is why I am here at Bologna to recapture what is rightfully mine
and tell the Coach that there's no point with experiments, I am a striker.
所以轉會 Bologna，就為了踢前鋒。
“I want to do well and rediscover those sensations of victory
and also the occasional disappointment, everything that makes up
this wonderful sport.”
Tactician Daniele Arrigoni did not mind being dictated to on this matter
and praised the new arrival.
“I am very happy, as we had been tracking Di Vaio for a long time,”
said the Bologna boss.
“He is a striker who can give depth to the move and brings
with him a strong treasure chest of experience in Serie A.
“He will play as either a centre-forward or a support striker,
certainly not out wide in midfield.”
Bologna 主帥表明會讓他踢中鋒或是二鋒，絕非在中場打邊路。
It is possible Di Vaio will make his Bologna debut today
in the Coppa Italia encounter with Vicenza.
