Maccarone commits to Siena

Massimo Maccarone has extended his contract with Siena until 2012,
it has been confirmed.
The former Empoli and Middlesbrough striker put pen to paper
on a new deal holding him to the club until June 30, 2012.
He first played for the Tuscan outfit for six months in 2004-05,
scoring six goals in 17 Serie A appearances.
Maccarone then returned on a permanent switch in January 2007
and has since notched up 19 goals in 47 games.
As he turned 29 this week, it is likely Maccarone will see out
the rest of his career at the Stadio Artemio Franchi-Arena Montepaschi.
