The Azzurrini fly to Czech Republic. Biraghi: “We are in good spirit and we
know what we are worth”
Monday 15/06/2015 05:42
The Azzurrini will land in Czech Republic tonight, as Luigi Di Biagio’s side
prepare to make their UEFA Under-21 European Championship debut on Thursday
night against Sweden at the Ander Stadium in Olomouc. Murru, Dezi and Longo
have left the training camp in Coverciano after wishing good luck to their
teammates. Each of the three players have received a special thanks from Italy
’s head coach for their helpfulness in supporting the team as reserves.
It will be Cristiano Biraghi’s second Under-21 European Championship. The
Chievo Verona defender, who also took part in the 2013 tournament in Israel,
spoke to the press before the Azzurrini departure: “We have worked hard and
prepared well during the last two weeks,” he said at the airport. “We are
in good spirit and we all know what to do. We have a common goal and we will
all work to reach it. We are not the team to beat and that will help us, as
we will feel less pressure. We know what we are worth though, we have the
same mentality as two years ago and we are here to represent our country. We
will give our all, we have been drawn in a tight group and we will need all
of our resolution to succeed”.
