[情報] Cardinals take pitcher in Rule V draft
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The St. Louis Cardinals have selected left-handed
pitcher Ben Jukich from the Cincinnati Reds organization in the Rule V Draft.
Jukich was the 24th pick of the major league portion of the draft after going
9-6 with a 4.10 ERA in 17 starts for the Reds' Triple-A Louisville affiliate
last season. The 6-foot-4, 190-pound Jukich had 106 strikeouts in 123 innings.
He joins his third organization after being drafted by the Athletics in the
13th round in 2006 out of Dakota Wesleyan. He was traded to the Reds in 2007.
The Cardinals also selected left-handed pitcher Matt Meyer from the Cleveland
Indians' Double-A Akron roster. He was 12-10 with a 3.86 ERA and six saves in
148 minor-league relief appearances the last four seasons.
