http://www.sportsline.com/nba/story/9192389 Midseason Report: Eastern Conference grades Jan. 27, 2006 By Tony Mejia CBS SportsLine.com Staff Writer Cleveland Cavaliers On Dec. 31, Cleveland blew out the seemingly unbeatable Detroit Pistons, moving nine games over .500 and really looking like one of the NBA's top teams. But things haven't been the same since the Cavs lost Larry Hughes for six to eight weeks with a broken finger. LeBron James has been phenomenal, and among the new acquisitions, Hughes had been strong, Donyell Marshall steady and Damon Jones a bust. Two of three isn't bad, and neither is the team's record thanks to their current three-game winning streak. They're poised to make the playoffs and earn a decent seed, which I suppose is a victory. Had Hughes not gotten hurt, contributing to a six-game tailspin, you wonder where they'd be.
