Pierce To Miss Two Weeks After Knee Procedure Dec 23, 2009 4:18 PM EST (two hours ago) The Celtics announced today that forward Paul Pierce underwent arthroscopic irrigation on his right knee to clean a knee infection at New England Baptist Hospital this morning. Celtics Team Physician Dr. Brian McKeon performed the procedure. Pierce is expected to miss the next two weeks. Pierce has played in every game this season for the Celtics and is averaging a team-high 18.2 points. He is currently shooting a career-high 47.3% from three-point land and is ranked fifth in the NBA. Celtics Recall Bill Walker From D-League Dec 23, 2009 2:24 PM EST The Boston Celtics announced today that forward Bill Walker has been recalled from the Maine Red Claws of the NBA Development League. Walker, a 6’6 forward, appeared in nine games for the Red Claws and was averaging a team-high 17.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game at the time of his recall.
