Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon has poured cold water on any suggestion
that Jose Mourinho is a possible replacement for Sven-Goran Eriksson as England
manager.
Speaking on BBC Radio Five Live at the weekend, Kenyon said about the Chelsea
manager: "He's made it quite clear he's not interested, and we would make it
quite clear we are not interested in letting him go."
(莫里尼奧曾清楚表明他無意願對擔任英格蘭國家隊教練。而切爾西方面也想要表達無
意願讓莫里尼奧走。)
"He likes Chelsea, he and his family like London, and he is very happy with
what we are planning to do. We think he will be here to fulfil the plans we
have all put in place together.”
(他喜愛切爾西，他和他的家人也愛喜歡倫敦，而且他也很滿意切爾西的長久計畫，我們
認為他會留在這裡實現計畫。)
Mourinho, who joined Chelsea in June 2004 and signed a contract extension last
May, has another four-and-a-half years to run on his current deal.
"We would like him to stay longer than that," confirmed Kenyon.
